CII, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and WHO are working together to involve the corporate sector in raising awareness about and controlling Tuberculosis. They are also propagating the DOTS program through various initiatives. Implementation CII, in close partnership with the Central TB Division, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and WHO for technical assistance, is working to involve the health facilities in the corporate sector at 12 Public/Private Mix sites to propagate the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program and adoption of DOTS The Sure Cure for TB. CII is working to involve more corporate-supported health facilities at the plant/unit level to adopt the TB Control Program in India Revised National TB Control Program (RNTCP).
This study was presented and documented, with the aim of creating awareness of the prevention and treatment of TB in the industry workforce, in the First Inter-Country Meet for TB Control at Workplace: Enhancing the Role of Corporate Sector, by the Southeast Asia Regional Office of WHO
This alliance was created by the Global Health Initiative of the World Economic Forum with the, RNTCP, and WHOwith Aditya Birla Group, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries, Modicare, Novartis India Larsen, and Toubro and Lupin as partners. Its mission is to step up the role of the corporate sector in the fight against TB. The alliance is working on four core efforts:
