In alphabetical order: Alok Kshirsagar Alok Kshirsagar is a Partner with McKinsey & Company who serves several leading global financial services institutions. Alok has broad experience in performance improvement and growth strategy initiatives in North America and Europe through his time in the firm’s London and New York offices. Alok co-leads McKinsey’s Financial Services Sales and Marketing Distribution Practice, which focuses on scaling and sustaining sales force productivity improvements. He also co-leads the firm’s Retirement Initiative, which helps leading asset managers, insurers, and brokerage firms more effectively serve their clients’ changing needs and expectations. He is also leads strategy, recruiting and professional development for over 350 professionals who are part of the firm’s North American Business Analyst Program. Alok received a postgraduate degree in Politics and Economics from Oxford University, where he was an Inlaks Scholar. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Bombay University where he was a National Merit Scholar. Ashok Krish With over 15 years of diversified experience in IT/Telecom/Office Automation industry, Ashok brings an excellent track record of success and expertise to his position as President and Chief Executive Officer for Kaizen Technologies Inc.. Ashok has been the force behind Kaizen’s growth and expansion. Ashok’s responsibilities include directing and coordinating Kaizen’s business, strategic planning, developing client relationships, driving revenue and cross-border knowledge exchange. He champions the business causes through strategic partnerships for KAIZEN. Ashok mentors CSR [Corporate Social Responsibilities] of the group in India and US. Kaizen CSR focuses on education and employability causes. Prior to this, Ashok had a long sales and management stint with Xerox Corp in India. He has successfully set up and steered IT firms in USA towards success and growth. Ashok has a BA in Economics from Osmania University & Masters Degree in Business Administration from California Coast University. Dr. Enas Enas Born and raised in Kerala, India, Dr. Enas A. Enas immigrated to the United States in 1970 where he completed six years of training including cardiology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He is Board Certified in Cardiology. He has more than 25 years of clinical experience and has focused the past 20 years on bench research on heart disease among Indians. He has authored and co-authored more than 60 articles, editorials, and reviews in prestigious American, British, and Indian medical journals. Dr Enas is the first cardiologist to sound the alarm on th epidemic of coronary artery disease among Indians worldwide As the principal investigator of the landmark CADI Study, he scientifically proved a 3-4 fold high rate of coronary artery disease among immigrants from India to the United States. He is also the first physician to identify and report a genetic predisposition to CAD in Asian Indians, mediated through lipoprotein(a) – a genetic variant of LDL cholesterol. His comprehensive review on Lp(a) appears in the January 2006 issue of Disease-a-month. For his ground-breaking research on heart disease, he has become a sought-after speaker at national and international medical conventions, seminars and CME programs. He has given more than 500 invited lectures in the US, Canada, and India Kavita Soni Kavita is an experienced professional, working in an international corporate environment. Currently, she is a business analyst and management consultant for Powersem GmbH, a German High Tech company, specializing in the design, development and automated production of multi-chip semiconductor modules. Ms. Soni focuses on developing and evaluating market growth opportunities in North America, India, China, Japan and Brazil for cost saving, revenue growth, quality improvement and increased profitability, defining and analyzing market structures and competition, as well as managing client relationships worldwide. Her role as a management consultant also comprises assisting the CFO of the company in general corporate finance and accounting functions and decisions. She recently assisted in establishing Powersem-India in Bangalore, a subsidiary of Powersem GmbH, by helping with contract negotiations and mediating agreements between key parties involved. Her upbringing in various European countries (Switzerland, Germany and France) as well as her frequent travel to emerging markets has helped her to develop a solid understanding of international economic and financial fundamentals as well as business practices of clients worldwide in the High Tech industry. Her knowledge of the different business practices of each country she deals with along with her multilingual skills has allowed Ms. Soni to be an important intermediary for many business deals, demonstrating strong leadership in challenging situations. Ms. Soni holds a MBA from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business, Rochester, NY, with concentrations in Finance and Strategy. She also completed a Masters degree in French and English Linguistics and Literature from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, and holds a certificate on Foreign Languages and Affairs from the University Of Limoges, France.
Neeta Bhasin Neeta Bhasin is the President/CEO of ASB Communications, a full service multicultural communications agency dedicated to the ethnic markets, especially the Asian (Chinese, Korean and Filippino), South Asian (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal), Middle Eastern and African markets in North America. After having gained substantial experience in North America and encouraged profusely by clients and individuals alike, she has recently taken ASB services to the UK market as well. Some of her agency’s past and present clients are MoneyGram, HSBC, Aetna Health Care, Reliance Global Call, Western Union, Adlabs, Zee Carnival to name just a few. Neeta not only knows the areas of community concentration but also has a personal relationship with their leaders and the media. She believes that client needs are as diversified as they are specific and something that works for one product may not necessarily work for another. Aside from possessing psychographic insight, she also possesses insight on the psychology of each of the markets that she caters too. Neeta is as well known as a media personality in the South Asian community as she is known for her television shows and for her insights into the ethnic markets. She hosts a live show on ITV, and has been invited as a guest lecturer at NYU, St. John’s University and many other prestigious public forums to share her insight. She was one of the recipients of the award ‘Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business’ awarded by the Asian American Business Development Center. She was also recognized and awarded by the Census Board for her contribution in making Census 2000 a success. Neeta was commended by New York City for her outstanding service to the South Asian community.
Shubho Ghosh Shubho is an Associate Equity Analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners, an investment bank, in their New York offices. Shubho researches companies in the Communications Equipment Sector and has current research coverage of the following firms - Cisco, Ericsson, Juniper, Ciena, Infinera and Starent Networks. Prior to that Shubho worked in the Proprietary Trading Desk of Lehman Brothers in New York where he researched and invested in technology companies for the firm. Shubho also has corporate finance experience with a technology firm in California, International Rectifier Corporation, as well as consulting and business development experience. He received his MBA and MS from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, and his BA (Honors) in Economics from the Hindu College, University of Delhi. Tushar Aggarwal Tushar is an Associate at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he focuses on investments in the Business Services & Technology sector. Tushar joined General Atlantic in 2007 and is based out of the Firm's global headquarters in Greenwich, CT.
Vidhyashankar Balasubramanian Vidhyashankar is a Product Lead at Intel Corporation, managing validation and product launch of the Intel Atom® generation of processors. Starting his career as a chip design engineer, he has served in several engineering and product management roles. Prior to Intel, he worked with Infosys Technologies in Business Development, managing strategic Fortune 500 accounts in Asia Pacific and the United States. Vidhyashankar is active in the Austin music scene and is the lead percussionist of an Indian light music band – ‘Omkara’. He has had formal training in Indian Classical percussion and loves to dabble with a variety of musical instruments. He is also a sport enthusiast; a certified cricket umpire, he has umpired several regional matches in the United States for the Central West and Central Texas Cricket League.Vidhyashankar is active on the board of several Non-Profit organizations. He serves as the Media and Marketing Chair on the Board of the ‘Indian Classical Music Circle of Austin’, helping out in strategic planning, event management, media relations and fundraising. Vidhyashankar graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Masters degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering. During his graduate school days, he has worked with grassroots level organizations such as ‘Association for India Development’ and ‘Vibha’. Vidhyashankar is passionate about education for children and contributing to the socio-economic development in India.
Vivek Sharma Vivek Sharma is an Associate Partner with the Chicago Office of McKinsey & Company. He serves leading high tech and telecom companies on various issues, including corporate & growth strategy, operations turnarounds and IT / business process outsourcing. Prior to McKinsey, Vivek worked with Aditya Birla Group with their South Asian operations, focusing on marketing and business development. Vivek holds an MBA from INSEAD; a Masters in International business from IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) Delhi; and a Bachelor of Technology from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Delhi. Vivek is a SYLLF lifetime fellow on International leadership with the Nippon foundation, Tokyo. He is the working board member of the IAC (Indian American Council) and an active member of IIT and INSEAD Midwest alumni associations. He is frequently invited for India related panel discussions at leading business schools like Chicago GSB and Michigan.
